I spent the entire day walking around Makati by myself. It was a lot of fun people-watching and taking photos without having to rush or worry about slowing anyone down.

This is my mom. Anyone who knows her knows that she’s always rushing and puttering around, doing a million things a minute. This is one of those rare moments when she’s sitting down, and people are moving around her, and I’m glad I caught it.

4 February 2010. Written in fulfillment of a HI 18 midterm essay requirement.
Basically the idea was to choose two characters we had discussed so far this semester and create an exchange that was light, witty, and with as much historical accuracy as we could muster.
